Job Description – Main Duties

The Transportation Logistics Coordinator Job in USA will be responsible for designing efficient freight schedules, coordinating terminal operations, and providing real-time solutions to linehaul challenges.

  1. Plan nightly freight schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
  2. Oversee execution of linehaul plans ensuring smooth daily operations.
  3. Work closely with terminal management to optimize local and regional transport.
  4. Support drivers with route guidance, incident reporting, and lodging assistance.
  5. Provide after-hours support for accidents, breakdowns, and urgent issues.
  6. Track and report performance metrics for operational improvements.
  7. Ensure cross-team collaboration between regional operations.
  8. Identify logistics inefficiencies and recommend cost-saving solutions.
  9. Ensure compliance with company and transport regulations.
  10. Promote continuous process improvement in transportation planning.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Create and execute nightly linehaul schedules in assigned regions.
  2. Coordinate directly with drivers and supervisors to maintain network efficiency.
  3. Handle urgent after-hours logistics issues including breakdowns and fuel needs.
  4. Submit performance reports and analysis to management.

Requirements for Transportation Logistics Coordinator Job in USA
