Job Description

  1. Monitor and maintain the daily health of swine herds, identifying early signs of illness and ensuring veterinary protocols are followed.

  3. Assist in the breeding process, including artificial insemination, pregnancy checks, and farrowing support to maximize herd productivity.
  4. Oversee the care of piglets from birth, ensuring proper feeding, vaccination, and growth monitoring until they are weaned.
  5. Maintain accurate records of feed intake, breeding cycles, health treatments, and growth performance for management review.
  6. Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery safely, ensuring all mechanical systems are working efficiently.
  7. Support biosecurity measures by following farm entry protocols, sanitation procedures, and disease prevention practices.
  8. Assist in manure management and waste control, ensuring environmental sustainability and compliance with local regulations.
  9. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to implement new production strategies and improve farm efficiency.
  10. Perform general farm maintenance tasks including cleaning, barn setup, ventilation adjustments, and ensuring a safe working environment.
