Job Description

  1. Monitor facility access points, ensuring authorized entry and safety compliance for visitors and staff using advanced surveillance systems.
  2. Maintain strict adherence to company and Homeland Security regulations under the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT).
  3. Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, following established safety and response procedures.
  4. Conduct regular security patrols, inspections, and incident reporting with high accuracy and detail.
  5. Operate the control room and manage communication through CCTV, radios, and phone systems efficiently.
  6. Document and weigh all incoming/outgoing trucks, maintaining accurate logistical records.
  7. Enforce facility rules, prevent unauthorized activities, and ensure a safe working environment.
  8. Handle emergency situations with professionalism and initiate Emergency Response protocols as needed.
  9. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the guard station, upholding company standards.
  10. Collaborate with internal teams and management to strengthen on-site security and compliance measures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Access Control & Surveillance: Oversee visitor and vehicle entry using electronic systems, ensuring security at all times.
  2. Emergency Response: Execute quick and effective measures during critical situations to safeguard personnel and property.
  3. Compliance Management: Enforce safety and CTPAT rules while maintaining daily operational discipline.
  4. Incident Documentation: Prepare detailed and accurate reports on all security-related incidents.
  5. Equipment Operation: Manage over 100 surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and digital monitoring tools.
  6. Communication Handling: Direct all incoming calls to appropriate departments and maintain clear communication lines.
  7. Team Coordination: Collaborate with HR, logistics, and operations for synchronized facility security.
  8. Shift Coverage: Work flexible 12-hour rotations, including nights and weekends, ensuring 24/7 security coverage.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Experience: Prior work as a Security Guard or equivalent position is mandatory under Homeland Security requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended hours with endurance.
  • Communication: Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Capable of precise report writing and following compliance standards.
  • Professional Attitude: Respectful, punctual, and dependable work ethics.
  • Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with visa sponsorship support.

Salary & Benefits
