Job Description

  1. Teach English lessons to children and adults using NOVA’s structured materials and methodology, ensuring a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
  2. Plan and conduct interactive lessons tailored to individual learner needs and proficiency levels, promoting engagement and retention.
  3. Perform language assessments and demo lessons for new and potential students to determine appropriate class placement.
  4. Provide regular progress reports and constructive feedback to students, helping them achieve their linguistic goals.
  5. Maintain lesson quality by applying effective teaching strategies and adapting to diverse learner profiles.
  6. Foster a positive, culturally inclusive classroom environment that motivates learners to actively participate.
  7. Promote NOVA’s educational programs, products, and special courses through professional communication and customer interaction.
  8. Collaborate with support staff and management to ensure smooth operations and timely lesson delivery.
  9. Maintain professional conduct, punctuality, and adherence to company policies.
  10. Participate in ongoing instructor training and professional development programs to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver high-quality English instruction aligned with NOVA’s standards, ensuring engaging and effective classroom sessions.
  2. Conduct student evaluations, provide accurate feedback, and document learning progress in accordance with company guidelines.
  3. Manage classroom dynamics to ensure respect, focus, and participation from all learners.
  4. Support and guide students in improving pronunciation, grammar, and conversational fluency through interactive techniques.
  5. Participate in company workshops and continuous improvement programs designed to refine teaching methodologies.
  6. Assist in promotional events or open classes to demonstrate NOVA’s educational excellence to prospective learners.
  7. Uphold company values by maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and a customer-focused attitude.
  8. Contribute to a collaborative team culture, sharing feedback and insights to enhance overall school performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education or English preferred).
  • Fluent English speaker with a full English education background (Primary through University).
  • Positive and professional attitude with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be eligible for a Japanese work visa; visa sponsorship provided.
  • Capable of supporting oneself financially during the initial few weeks (approx. 200,000 Yen recommended).
  • Willingness to relocate to Japan and adapt to local customs and work culture.
  • Basic computer proficiency for lesson preparation and reporting.
  • Commitment to a one-year employment contract with opportunities for renewal and career progression.
